Volcan de Fuego

A must-do for hikers visiting Antigua Guatemala the Volcano of Fire is a particularly captivating natural wonder near Antigua Guatemala due to its constant activity. Unlike many other volcanoes that are dormant or have infrequent eruptions, Fuego is known for its regular eruptions and dramatic displays of lava and ash.

Cerro de la Cruz, or "Hill of the Cross," is one of Antigua’s most iconic viewpoints, offering a breathtaking panoramic vista of the city and its surrounding volcanoes. Perched high above the town, this scenic spot features a large stone cross overlooking the historic streets below, framed by the majestic Volcán de Agua in the background. It’s a short hike to the top, providing a peaceful escape into nature and a perfect opportunity for photography.
